A legacy of Danish design
Søren Blæsbjerg founded the company in 2008 with a fascination for form, materials, and function.
His approach to design was simple: A product should not just solve a practical task – it should also have its own character.
Over the years, he developed a range of designs within furniture, lighting, and kitchen products. Many of the products were created based on ideas where function was combined with a different and often surprising design language.
For instance, a cutting board did not necessarily have to be hidden away. It could be left out as a design object. A paper towel holder could take a shape that evoked associations with a rocket. A lamp could be shaped so that it could be used in several different ways.
It is this way of thinking about design that recurs in the collection.
Design with its own character
Søren Blæsbjerg's designs are created with a focus on proportions, materials, and function. The design language is simple, but never anonymous.
Work is done with materials such as solid wood, aluminum, steel, and glass, where the natural properties of the materials become an important part of the finished design.
Søren was never in a hurry to finish a design. He could work with the same idea for several years, during which form, function, and proportions were developed and refined until the whole felt right.
Time was a natural part of his design process. He would rather spend the extra time getting the details right than sending a product forward before it was completely correct.
From idea to finished product
We believe that quality begins with the way a product is created.
All production takes place in Denmark. From machining and milling to hand polishing, surface treatment, and final finishing, we work closely with Danish production partners and our own craftsmen and cabinetmakers.
This allows us to follow the products through the entire process and maintain a focus on materials, details, and quality.
Every product must be well-thought-out – not only when you look at it, but also when you use it.
A story that continues
Today, the company is managed by Alexander Blæsbjerg and the Blæsbjerg family. Together, they carry on Søren Blæsbjerg's designs and ideas, while simultaneously working on developing new designs with respect for the legacy he left behind.
For us, it is not about changing what already works. It is about giving the designs new life and bringing them forward to a new generation.
At the same time, work continues on new products and new interpretations – always with respect for the design language and the approach to design that Søren Blæsbjerg founded the company on in 2008.
