The Peacock
The cutting board as a design object
The Peacock was originally designed by Søren Blæsbjerg with a simple idea: A cutting board does not need to be hidden away.
With its characteristic shape and sculptural holder, the cutting boards are gathered into one independent design object. The different sizes form a harmonious silhouette, reminiscent of a peacock with its tail fanned out – which is where the name The Peacock comes from.
Yet behind the characteristic design language lies a very simple function.
The cutting boards are always close at hand and can be used for everything from preparation to serving and plating. When not in use, they stand out as a natural part of the kitchen and the room.
The Peacock is created based on the idea that the things we use every day should also be beautiful to look at.
Natural materials
The cutting boards are made of solid oak, ash, or American walnut. The soft, rounded edges and the carefully crafted surface highlight the wood's natural grain and make each individual cutting board unique.
Each board is carefully treated with oil, which enhances the wood's natural depth, warmth, and texture, and gives the surface a beautiful, vibrant glow.
Choose your holder
The holder is available in American walnut or ash, or as a painted version in one of our selected matte colors:
Matte black · Matte cream white · Matte dark purple
If you prefer a different color, the holder can also be ordered in exactly the color you want.
This makes it possible to create a Peacock that fits perfectly with your kitchen, your home, or your other interior decor.
The holder and cutting boards are developed as one integrated composition, where form, material, and function go hand in hand.
Each set is produced and finished in Denmark.
