"Påfuglen"/ "Peacock"

Originally designed by Søren Blæsbjerg, the cutting board and holder are developed with a focus on proportion, materiality and everyday functionality.

Both the holder and cutting boards are crafted from solid ash wood, chosen for its strength, durability and natural antibacterial properties. The clean geometric construction and balanced proportions allow the objects to function both as practical kitchen tools and as independent design objects within the space.

The cutting boards are carefully water-treated to help maintain a smooth and refined surface after use and washing. Each board is also repeatedly oil-treated by hand to enhance the natural depth, warmth and structure of the wood while providing long-lasting protection.

The holder elevates the cutting board visually and physically from the surface, allowing the object to stand openly within the space rather than being hidden away. Together, the board and holder create a calm and cohesive composition where functionality and materiality are equally emphasised.

Each piece is produced and finished in Denmark.
